As a Fleet Compliance Officer at Cadent Gas, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our fleet operations. Your primary responsibility will be to undertake safety and procedural compliance inspections, providing advice, support, and specialist knowledge for all associated related activities within the network.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking safety and procedural compliance inspections to ensure adherence to Cadent policies and relevant legislation.
  • Providing advice, support, and specialist knowledge to ensure the provision of a safe and cost-effective service.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of appropriate legislation, policies, and procedures, technical standards, and codes of practice.
  • Supporting incident investigations and investigation reports for submission to enforcing authorities.
  • Ensuring data recording and accuracy is appropriate and complete to support accurate management and regulatory reporting.
  • Delivering quality assurance inspections to ensure that our Fleet is being correctly managed and delivered.

Requirements:

  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Safety qualification (such as NEBOSH, IOSH Managing safely)
  • Good understanding of relevant SHEs and transport legislation, associated codes of practice, and other guidance.
  • Knowledge of Government VOL Operator Licence system and Operator Licence compliance.
  • Good knowledge of Cadent's policies, procedures, and other supporting documentation.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
