Aerospace CNC Machinist Role Overview

We are supporting a leading aerospace client in their search for a skilled CNC Milling Machinist to work on a night shift basis. The role involves setting and operating CNC 5 Axis Milling Machines, working to exceptionally close tolerances critical to the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set and run multiple CNC machines and processes, ensuring high precision and quality.
  • Operate CNC 5 Axis Milling Work Centres, ensuring they meet all required specifications.
  • Proven experience with Matsuura and DMG machines is preferred.
  • Perform first-off inspections and complete necessary quality documentation.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to address any machining challenges and improve processes.
  • Ensure that all parts meet customer requirements and aerospace industry standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
A recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent training. Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace industry. Solid understanding of machining techniques and appropriate tooling for complex components. Proven skills in multi-axis/complex machining environments. Proficiency in using relevant inspection techniques and equipment to meet drawing tolerances.

Estimated Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
