The Project
As a Senior Commercial Manager within our Transportation Business Unit, you will play a critical role in the management of commercial aspects of transportation projects and programs. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering best-value solutions and high standards throughout the supply chain.
Your Responsibilities
- Support Associate/Project Directors with cost management and contract performance reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Manage procurement of projects, including preparing contract and tender documentation, to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Prepare and manage contract documentation, negotiate with contractors, and ensure that all agreements are fair and equitable.
- Present cost reports, including monthly performance reviews, to stakeholders and project teams.
- Advise the Project Manager on the administration of NEC contracts, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met.
- Assist the Project Manager across all functions and project delivery, providing commercial expertise and guidance as needed.
- Act under delegated authority from the Project Manager, making informed decisions that align with company goals and objectives.
- Assess and advise on amounts due under contract, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
- Ensure that interim and final assessments are accurate, robust, and in accordance with contractual terms.
- Work with contractors to achieve agreed final assessments, where possible.
- Act as a key interface with clients, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages, providing commercial expertise and guidance.
- Manage contractual frameworks, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Identify and act upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, and products, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and act upon ways to improve internal systems and processes, ensuring that commercial operations are optimized.
