Job Title:

Plant Engineer

Job Summary:

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced Electrical Team Member to join their Engineering team in Hartlepool. This role involves providing first-line expertise to manufacturing areas as part of a small, multi-disciplined engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the engineering team in conducting preventative and reactive maintenance.
  2. Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, ensuring adherence to safe working procedures.
  3. Provide first-line technical expertise to identify and rectify faults, minimising plant downtime.
  4. Collaborate with relevant peers to suggest and implement improvements to process control systems.
  5. Ensure high-quality work, promptly repairing any deficiencies to prevent recurrence.
Requirements:
  1. Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or possession of a recognised electrical maintenance qualification (NVQ or similar).
  2. Ideally, background in heavy engineering manufacturing and excellent interpersonal skills.
  3. Experience with industrial/domestic wiring, overhead cranes, slitters, cutters, presses, robots, etc.
  4. Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens & Allen Bradley), including HMI's.
  5. Expertise with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems, variable speed motor control with inverters and converters, and speed feedback devices.
  6. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and awareness of safety-related control systems.
Working Conditions:

This role operates on a shift pattern, working 12-hour days and nights, with 2 days on, 2 nights on, and 4 days off.

What We Offer:

Acorn by Synergie offers a competitive salary of £42,000 per annum basic (inclusive of shift allowance), rising to £46,043 per annum upon demonstration of site-specific competencies, plus quarterly bonus and yearly bonus and lots of overtime unavailable.
