Job Title: Embedded Electronics Engineer

Renishaw is a global leader in high precision metrology and healthcare technology. We are seeking an experienced Embedded Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team in the development of cutting-edge Raman spectroscopy products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronics and control solutions that power our Raman spectrometer products. This role requires strong electronics design and development skills, as well as experience with firmware coding and prototyping.

We are looking for an individual who is organized, self-motivated, and able to work closely with other disciplines, including software, optical, and mechanical engineering teams. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electronics and control solutions for Raman spectrometer products
  • Develop firmware code for embedded systems
  • Prototype and test electronics designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development
Requirements:
  • Good working knowledge of electronics design and development
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in electronics engineering or similar discipline
  • Experience with digital and microcontroller design
  • Embedded firmware design experience
  • Experience with EDA tools such as Altium and Zuken
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
Desirable Requirements:
  • Understanding of low noise analogue electronics principles
  • Knowledge of EMC standards and requirements
