Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at LHH Recruitment. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing payroll for several countries within the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing: Demonstrate expertise in UK and EU payroll processing and legislation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Payroll Leadership: Lead the payrolls to ensure accuracy and timeliness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Payroll Compliance: Ensure payroll compliance with company policy and local tax legislation, serving as the point of escalation for complex payroll queries from the business.
  • Payroll Analysis: Compile and analyse payroll data, providing regular reports to key stakeholders, addressing complex payroll issues and providing excellent customer service.
  • Payroll Systems: Develop and implement systems and processes to support an effective control environment, leading departmental and cross-functional projects autonomously.
Requirements:
  • Payroll Experience: Hands-on payroll experience on multiple UK payrolls as a minimum, with exposure to international payroll highly desired.
  • Vendor Management: Demonstrative vendor management experience, with a highly motivated and driven professional, excellent communication skills, and a track record of delivery.
  • Leadership: Able to operate standalone as payroll, with gravitas to hold their own and own the payroll bridge between finance and HR.
  • Benefits Administration: Experience of UK Benefits administration, including pension, medical, tax-free schemes, etc.
