Job Title: WordPress Backend Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Backend Developer to join our team at Weredog. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our custom-built WordPress backend plugin using PHP.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in PHP and WordPress plugin development, with experience working with WooCommerce and understanding of e-commerce processes. You will be able to work independently and proactively solve problems, with strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance our existing custom-built WordPress backend plugin using PHP.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the system, identifying and solving any issues related to product lifecycle management, production, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to understand their needs and implement system updates or new features that streamline their processes.
  • Develop new functionality as our product lines expand, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Ensure seamless integration with WooCommerce and other WordPress components.
  • Manage codebase and ensure it's well-documented for future updates or changes.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in PHP and WordPress plugin development.
  • Experience with WooCommerce and understanding of e-commerce processes.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.
  • Experience working with databases (MySQL) and debugging complex systems.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams.
