SRG is seeking an experienced Senior Process Development Scientist to join their biotechnology team.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the synthesis of a range of peptides and peptide conjugates, as well as coordinating the delivery of polyclonal antibody projects through process development and technical transfer into the GMP production facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead synthesis and purification activities to produce high-quality peptide products.
  • Coordinate process development of polyclonal antibody projects to ensure a smooth transition into GMP production.
  • Provide specialist technical knowledge and training for other team members.
  • Prepare project-specific development documentation, including SOPs, development protocols, and associated reports, to a high standard.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in peptide synthesis, purification, and analysis.
  • Extensive experience in downstream processing and scale up, including column chromatography and Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF).
  • Experience in protein analytical methods, such as SDS-PAGE and protein assays.
  • Experience in writing technical documents, including development reports and SOPs.
  • Desirable skills include AKTA experience and technical transfer.
  • Able to work in a small team and demonstrate adaptability.
