Job Description:


We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister who has a strong academic record and experience in providing high-quality legal advice on a range of areas, including regulatory, public, and environmental law. You will be responsible for influencing and developing NFU policy work and providing support and guidance on risk and reputational considerations. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the development of new law through legislative drafting.



Requirements:


  • A strong academic record with a law or non-law degree at 2:1 or above
  • Qualification as a solicitor or barrister to practice in England and Wales
  • Experience in providing high-quality legal advice on a range of areas
  • An analytical mind and excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to convey complex legal matters to a non-legal audience
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
