About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join our team at Evelyn Partners. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and providing expert financial reporting services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Work:
    • Review and analyze financial statements, including FRS 102, FRS 101, IFRS, and consolidated group accounts.
    • Ensure clients receive a high-quality and proactive service, exceeding their expectations.
    • Liaise with clients, partners, and other staff to ensure all parties are informed and up-to-date on relevant issues.
  • Department Administration:
    • Monitor billing, lock-up, and staffing levels to ensure efficient operations.
    • Ensure WIP provisioning is up-to-date and accurate.
    • Support the management team with administrative tasks and projects as needed.
  • Training and Development:
    • Provide technical support and upskilling to team members, enhancing the quality of their work.
    • Monitor staff performance, conduct appraisals, and provide timely feedback.
    • Offer on-the-job training to junior staff, promoting their growth and development.
  • Business/Practice Development:
    • Develop proposals for new business opportunities.
    • Identify and pursue growth opportunities with existing clients.
Requirements
  • Strong academic background and qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA).
  • Significant experience in large entity statutory accounts within a professional services environment.
  • Experience working with entrepreneurial, OMB, and SME clients.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of accounting standards and business development activities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage staff and prioritize tasks effectively.
