Estate Planning Associate Job Description

This is a remote position that offers the opportunity to work as a self-employed estate planner with full support from our company.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on estate planning, including wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney.
  • Draft and review estate planning documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with current laws.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their estate planning goals and create tailored strategies.
  • Undertake continuous professional development (CPD) to stay updated on changes in estate planning laws and regulations.
  • Assist with the administration of estates by offering referrals to local or national companies.
  • Communicate complex legal concepts in clear and empathetic terms.
  • Maintain detailed client records, ensuring the highest standards of confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in estate planning or a related legal field.
  • Proven expertise in drafting and reviewing wills and trusts.
  • Strong understanding of tax planning and probate processes.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and knowledge of current laws and regulations.
