Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Physiologist to join our team, responsible for performing and reporting adult trans-thoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE minimum data set and local reporting guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and report adult trans-thoracic echocardiograms, ensuring quality assurance checks on equipment and submitting reports in accordance with contractual requirements and local SOPs.
- Liaise with hospital departments and GP practices for urgent clinical referrals, communicating complex information to patients in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Collaborate with internal staff and external companies to ensure effective time management and maintenance of equipment.
- Recognize and act upon the cultural and religious needs of patients, promoting a good working relationship with other team members.
- Take responsibility for risk management within the area, attending in-house quality meetings and training sessions.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
- Hold a relevant BSc (Hons) degree.
- Hold or be working towards BSE (British Society of Echocardiography) accreditation.
- Hold a full UK driving License.
- Have extensive knowledge of cardiology.
- Have a strong understanding of Data Protection.
- Be able to provide evidence of CPD.
