Overview of the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing facilities teams, with experience in capital projects within the education sector. They will be responsible for leading the team to deliver high-quality services across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with the organisation's goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the facilities team to achieve excellent delivery of hard and soft services.
  • Oversee capital projects, including new builds, smaller works, and improvements, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement facilities management strategies that support the organisation's academic values.
  • Maintain relationships with external contractors and service providers to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Report on facilities performance and progress to senior management, providing strategic recommendations for improvement and strategy.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Possesses significant experience in facilities management, preferably within the education sector or a comparable environment.
  • Demonstrates excellent project management skills, with a successful track record in overseeing capital works and maintenance projects.
  • Holds knowledge of health and safety regulations, building standards, and sustainability practices.
