Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist for IBD Service

Location: Leicester Royal Infirmary, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) service at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a specialist nurse, you will work collaboratively with patients, the public, and professional staff to promote health, prevent disease, and encourage independence.

You will be responsible for managing your own nurse-led clinics, reviewing in-patients, coordinating biological therapies, discussing treatment options, and implementing IBD MDT outcomes. You will also work alongside our Consultant Gastroenterologists and liaise with surgical teams.

The successful candidate will have a vision for the service and be able to deliver a high-quality patient-focused service within the present-day NHS. You will be an experienced Band 5 nurse or above, within the specialty of GI medicine/GI surgery, with evidence of continued professional development.

  • Holds a recognised Teaching & Assessing in Healthcare qualification
  • Experience as an experienced nurse at Band 5 or above with good knowledge and experience in Gastroenterology
  • Proven leadership skills & evidence of leading change
