About the Role

We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our aseptic services team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a Production Pharmacist Aseptics Specialist, you will be responsible for the provision of aseptic products and services, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as an authorized pharmacist responsible for the provision of aseptic products and services.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the aseptic unit, working collaboratively with staff and other teams.
  • Ensure service delivery meets the needs of our patients and complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with the Clinical Trials team to deliver clinical trials and ensure full preparation and regulatory compliance.
About Us

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust has a large manufacturing facility, split across multiple sites, with a team of over 140 staff working in licensed manufacturing and named patient dispensing areas. Our services include aseptic preparation of CIVAS and chemotherapy, sterile and non-sterile manufacturing, clinical trials, quality control, and quality assurance.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a pharmacist with experience as an authorized pharmacist within an aseptic unit.
  • Previous experience in staff training and assessment.
  • Desirable experience in CIVAS, chemotherapy, PN, ATMPs, or sterile/non-sterile manufacturing.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree MPharm.
  • Certificate in clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent.
  • Competency assessed and examined professional registration as a pharmacist with the GPhC.
Skills
  • Practical knowledge of GMP, QA, and current relevant regulations.
  • Ability to organize own time and the time of others.
  • Experience of managing change and deviations within a pharmaceutical quality management system.
  • Demonstrated ability to risk assess and investigate deviations and errors.
