Lloyds British, a leading provider of lifting and equipment inspection services, is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join our Manufacturing business. As an Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for building new equipment, refurbishing and assembling overhauled equipment, and delivering high-quality manufacture and repair services.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake all aspects of electrical fitting, including electrical fitting duties associated with the manufacturing and repairing of heavy duty lifting and powered handling equipment.
- Work closely with the workshop supervisor to ensure accurate and on-time completion of workshop requirements, completing workshop documentation, quality plans, workshop instruction, and all relevant inspection records.
- Assist and guide colleagues from other departments within Lloyds British and the Speedy Group of Companies.
- Have the confidence and ability to advise on any defects or deficiencies in equipment or arrangements that could compromise the Health and Safety of yourself and others.
- Necessary experience and skills to safely operate machinery and hand tools to produce components to the required accuracy and quality.
- Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Competence in carrying out the relevant function of your trade/skills, relating to the electrical aspects of wiring of powered lifting/handling equipment and industrial machinery.
- Ability to operate equipment related to your trade or training.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Use of measuring equipment required for checking of work.
- Full UK manual driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
