About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Spanish Language Manager to join our team at Klaviyo Inc. as a key member of our Localization function. As a Spanish Language Manager, you will be responsible for driving and managing the language strategy for Spain, collaborating closely with external resources and internal stakeholders to deliver a best-in-class user experience to our customers in the market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Language Strategy Development: Develop and maintain linguistic and cultural standards and guidelines, define quality expectations across the whole localized customer journey, including supporting the development of style guides, glossaries, tone, and voice of the Klaviyo Product (customer, partner, and developer) and Content (Marketing, Customer Education, and others) in the market.
  • Linguistic Quality Management: Monitor the linguistic quality of the Spanish language and provide feedback and context to the translation teams, in order to ensure the best resource fit for the highest quality impact.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with the Localization team and internal stakeholders to collect relevant cultural and linguistic information about Klaviyo Spain and support the localization effort in bringing this content to the global audience.
  • Team Management: Train, develop, and manage a highly-effective team of Spanish linguists through our localization supplier that consistently delivers high-quality output.
  • Customer Advocacy: Be a champion internally for the Spanish Klaviyo customer.
  • Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in languages, translation, localization, or international studies. Fluency in English and native knowledge of Spanish for Spain is a must. Strong business acumen and proven stakeholder management skills. Proven experience in translation, localization, and language quality management. Demonstrated experience in localization of Product, Marketing, and Support content for Spain, with scalable localization infrastructures and language quality frameworks. Experience in creative writing is a plus. Ability to hold teams accountable to a high-quality standard.
