As a Senior Multi Modal Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring and tracking shipments, ensuring that all goods are transported to/from their destinations in accordance with the clients' needs and providing clients with timely updates of the progress of their shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select appropriate transportation modes and routes based on factors such as cost, urgency, and cargo specifications.
  • Optimize transportation routes and methods to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Prepare relevant shipment documentation such as Import & Export customs entries.
  • Deal with the necessary paperwork to ensure smooth transport of the shipments.
  • Address and resolve any shipment delays, disruptions, or issues that may arise during transit.
  • Negotiate rates and maximise margin.

Requirements:

  • A good knowledge of MS Office software (incl. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • A good working knowledge of the HMRC CDS system.
  • Cross-trade experience - would be an advantage.
