About the Role

Alecto Recruitment is currently recruiting for our client, a well-established supplier of heavy plant machinery, who are seeking a skilled and motivated Plant Fitter to join their team in the Lincoln area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular maintenance and servicing of heavy plant machinery, adhering to manufacturer's guidelines and industry standards.
  • Responding promptly to breakdowns and efficiently diagnosing and resolving faults to minimize downtime.
  • Utilizing your in-depth knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to perform diagnostics and provide effective solutions.
  • Carrying out repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Performing thorough fault finding and inspections to identify potential issues and recommending preventative maintenance measures.
  • Collaborating with the team to maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service by communicating professionally and building positive client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Recognised qualifications in heavy plant maintenance or a similar field (NVQ or diploma) are essential.
  • Proven industry experience in servicing and repairing heavy plant machinery.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of a variety of heavy plant machinery makes, models, and manufacturers.
  • A valid driving license is required for this mobile role, involving travel to different client sites.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
