Job Title: Director, Bureau of Management

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and professional individual to join our team as a Director, Bureau of Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on a wide range of public, regulatory, and food contact issues, primarily but not exclusively for corrugated converters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor legislative and regulatory activity at Defra, the devolved administrations, and EU Commission Regulations.
  2. Respond to UK Government and EU enquiries and public consultations, promoting the interests of the industry and the benefits of packaging.
  3. Manage the Corrugated Council, comprising CEOs from Corrugated converter Member companies, and administer Board meetings, preparation of associated papers, and implementation of Board decisions.
  4. Manage the Packaging Regulatory Committee, made up of technical and regulatory leads from CPI Packaging membership, and work closely with the Chair of the Corrugated Council.
  5. Maintain close contact with Corrugated Council and Packaging Regulatory Committee members to retain and build their confidence in CPI to represent their interests effectively.
  6. Industry liaison with the wider packaging sector and other industry trade associations to promote the benefits of packaging.
  7. Experience with regulatory matters, preferably in the packaging industry.
