The Guide Dogs for the Blind is seeking a skilled Guide Dog Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the skills and behaviours in guide dogs that are needed to support individuals living with sight loss live their lives to the fullest.

The Canine Training Specialist will work collaboratively with other specialists across various areas, including dog wellbeing teams, volunteers, and puppy development advisors, to ensure guide dogs are trained to the correct standards.

A Animal Behaviour Trainer with a passion for supporting and empowering people, and a love for dogs, will be responsible for handling large dogs and building up to training around four dogs at a time.

The Service Dog Educator will be involved in the development of human or animal behaviour, using positive training approaches and techniques. They will also have a thorough understanding of our service user matching process and will meet and help assess and support the needs of our service users.

We are looking for a Dog Training Expert who has a determined and positive mindset, and previous practical experience working or volunteering with adults and/or young people and/or animals in a supportive capacity.

The successful candidate will be required to attend an initial online interview and may subsequently be invited to attend our Assessment Day. We strive to be a diverse and inclusive employer, ensuring our workforce reflects the communities we support.
