Analyst in Private Debt and Credit

CPP Investments seeks an Analyst to join our European Credit team in London, part of our global Credit Investments department. As an Analyst, you will work on small deal teams to evaluate credit opportunities, develop investment recommendations, and participate in the execution and monitoring of investments.
Credit Investments currently manages assets in excess of C$50 billion with investments ranging from $50 million to over $1 billion. The Credit Investments team has over 100 investment professionals across North America, Europe and Asia.
The European Credit team invests in sub-investment grade debt across the capital structure, including private credit (unitranche, Holdco financing), liquid credit (term loans, high-yield bonds) and other solutions for European corporations.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse potential investment opportunities across private credit and liquid credit (direct lending, term loans, high yield Bonds, Holdco, mezzanine financing among others)
- Actively participate in the investment process from initial opportunity overview to execution and monitoring
- Conduct research and due diligence on relevant businesses and sectors
- Build financial models with projections to assist in investment evaluation, structuring and financing
- Review and assist in the negotiation of legal documents
- Commensurate years of related work experience (e.g. investment banking, leverage finance, private debt, credit analyst, etc.)
- Excellent academic track record
- Strong interest in investing
- Excellent research, communication, financial modeling, and analytical skills
The estimated salary for this role is approximately £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
