About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Merchant Branch Manager to join our team at HSS Hire Ireland. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with customers and providing expert assistance with their hire needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to secure repeat business and long-term loyalty.
  • Sales Growth: Promote the branch to increase trade sales growth and meet and exceed sales targets with a customer-focused approach.
  • Product Expertise: Cultivate and maintain in-depth knowledge of our construction products and equipment, and provide expert assistance to customers with their hire needs.
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling: Actively seek opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to customers.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in construction products/equipment and a similar managerial/supervisor position in a builder's merchant or related business.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen with awareness of the current market.
  • Performance Targets: Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed performance targets, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines with a strong focus on finding solutions.
  • Customer Service: Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to continuous learning and expanding product expertise.
Working Pattern

The successful candidate will work a standard Monday to Friday 7:30am until 16:30pm schedule, with occasional Saturday shifts.
