About the Role

The NHS is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Strategist to join its Executive Team as a Director of Financial Performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust financial strategy to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining effective financial systems, processes, and controls
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards
  • Providing strategic financial leadership to the Executive Team and Board
  • Leading the development of the five-year ICB plan and ensuring alignment with national priorities
  • Collaborating with system partners to drive innovation and improvement in population health outcomes

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA)
  • Extensive experience in healthcare finance, preferably within the NHS
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 per annum
