R&D Electronic Technician

We are seeking a talented R&D Electronic Technician to join our team at CV-Library in Newport. As a member of our specialist team, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects and contribute to the development of cutting-edge electronic systems.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement electronic designs and prototypes, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience assembling, testing, and repairing electronic prototypes to component level. Additionally, experience with RF (Radio frequency) would be advantageous, and familiarity with hand tools and programmable logic controllers is highly valued.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics, perform soldering tasks down to component level, and crimp harness assemblies.
  • Assemble and test current production products, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Support in-field upgrades and repairs, which may involve foreign travel.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of electronics and ability to work effectively with power tools.
  • Prior experience in assembly processes and attention to detail.
  • Certification in electrical or electronic assembly is a plus.
