Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of our directorate strategy and the organisation's data strategy. This will involve working closely with senior leaders to identify opportunities for leveraging technology and data to enhance business performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development of the team, including objectives, resourcing, skills, and training to positively drive the service forward, improve performance and ensure success of the team.
  • Recruiting, leading, and coaching team members, including all personal and professional development, and establishing career pathways to train and develop future DDaT professionals.
  • Responsible for managing a team of DDaT Strategy Partners to deliver relevant Digital, Data and Technology strategies; ensuring targets and performance standards are maintained.
  • Supporting and deputising for the Head of DDaT Strategy & Data Management
  • Active member of the DDaT Strategy and Data Management Management Team, collaborating to drive forwards the function as a whole and providing peer support to other members.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication and engagement skills, able to present information to a variety of audiences with varying levels of understanding and seniority
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence across an organisation
  • Ability to lead and build effective and trusting business partnering relationships maintaining the highest standard of integrity
  • Ability to work as a strategic partner with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and influence at all levels in the organisation and able to develop and build strong relationships with people of different business and technical backgrounds.
