Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prosthetist to join our team at Blatchford. As a Principal Prosthetist, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with amputations, ensuring they receive the best possible treatment and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and measure patients to determine their prosthetic needs
  • Cast and fit prosthetic devices, including limbs and other assistive technologies
  • Deliver and supply prosthetic devices, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Review and adjust prosthetic devices as needed to ensure optimal performance and comfort
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, including placement students and graduates
  • Conduct clinical audits and research projects to improve patient outcomes and service delivery
Requirements
  • Experience working with gait analysis and pressure measurement systems
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of prosthetic care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
