- Oversee the daily operations of the residential service, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Recruit, train, and manage a skilled and motivated team, fostering a positive and inclusive working environment.
- Conduct regular staff supervision, performance reviews, and support professional development initiatives.
- Ensure that recruitment, supervision, and performance management of staff safeguards young people and minimizes potential risk to them.
- Promote a person-centred approach, ensuring the delivery of holistic and individualised care to young people.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, statutory requirements, and other relevant legislation.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and protocols that reflect best safeguarding practices and promote high-quality care.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Prepare for and participate in Ofsted inspections, addressing any recommendations or requirements for improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate service performance, utilising feedback and data to drive continuous improvement.
- A comprehensive understanding of effective practices in responding to the needs of looked-after care leavers aged 16 and 17, and local authority statutory duties for this cohort, and how supported accommodation settings are required to support these.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans and risk assessments, tailored to each young person's individual needs and goals.
- Oversee the provision of person-centred care, support, and guidance to promote well-being and independence.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of a safe, nurturing, and inclusive living environment.
- Facilitate young people's access to educational, vocational, and recreational opportunities to support their personal development.
- Respond promptly and effectively to complex issues, crisis situations, and safeguarding concerns involving young people.
