Renewable Energy Asset Operator

Astute People is partnering with a leading business in the UK renewable energy sector to fill a key role in their anaerobic digestion plant in Dungannon.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to the generation of renewable gas from waste.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the renewable energy asset with training provided for those new to the sector
  • Perform routine checks and logging of findings
  • Test the biology of the plant to optimize gas yield
  • Assist contractors on site with key work
  • Learn about the process and running the plant from a SCADA system (training can be provided)
  • Weigh lorries and log data from the weighbridge
Requirements:
  • NVQ 2 or above in electrical or mechanical engineering (preferred but not essential)
  • A genuine interest in agriculture, process plants, and hands-on work
  • Comfortable working with potentially smelly waste
