The South Coast Development Team at Savills is seeking an experienced strategic land agent to join their team, coordinating their significant strategic land portfolio and contributing to the continued growth of their business.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with developers, promoters, investors, and key contacts to source and appraise new strategic land development opportunities.
- Coordinate project due diligence.
- Liaise with internal and external planners, masterplanners, architects, and consultants to establish options within a development.
- Carry out development appraisals on new and existing projects.
- Lead external teams from the planning/promotion stage through to delivery.
- Prepare development briefs, business plans, and programmes.
- Produce monthly update reports.
- Conduct feasibility and viability appraisals for reporting forecasts.
- Produce quarterly monitoring reports on strategic land promotions.
- Build relationships with existing and future landowner clients.
- Set clear objectives in line with company/divisional/team strategy and measure performance against these.
- Conduct regular 121s, complete thorough probationary, interim, and annual appraisals as per company guidelines.
- Support team members in career development via training, coaching, mentoring, and the promotion and succession/talent processes.
- Adhere to all company processes with regards to people management and role model professional behaviours at all times.
- Ensure recruitment is completed professionally and in line with team/divisional/company goals, thinking strategically regarding future needs and in line with diversity goals.
- Proven ability to develop skills and enable personal and professional growth of individuals.

A fast-paced and friendly team, The South Coast Development Team currently comprises 6 Directors, 1 Associate Director, 2 Associates, 1 Senior Surveyor, 2 Surveyors, 1 Graduate Surveyor, and 1 Apprentice located in the Wimborne and Southampton offices. The Team is split into 5 business streams, mainly Valuation, Development Agency, Strategic Land Agency, Development Consultancy, and Viability and LPA Receivership.
