About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Disability Liaison Nurse to join our team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Learning Disability team, you will provide expert clinical assessments and interventions for individuals with learning disabilities, working closely with our Lead Nurse for LD and the safeguarding team.

As a Learning Disability Liaison Nurse, you will be responsible for reviewing and initiating developments to enhance the quality of services for patients with learning disabilities and their carers and families. You will also work in a rewarding and challenging service that offers opportunities to extend your assessment skills and knowledge, particularly in a hospital setting.

The successful candidate will receive an induction programme and support from the LD Lead. This post sits within the wider Safeguarding Adults team at the Trust.

As a Learning Disability Liaison Nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that works together to provide excellent patient care. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and families, and to contribute to the development of our Learning Disability services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessments and interventions for individuals with learning disabilities
  • Work closely with the Lead Nurse for LD and the safeguarding team
  • Review and initiate developments to enhance the quality of services for patients with learning disabilities and their carers and families
