Toolmaking Specialist

At TE Connectivity, we seek a skilled Toolmaking Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining tools to exacting tolerances and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacture new tools and repair/renovate old tools.

• Plan jobs through various stages of manufacture, deciding the correct machinery and processes to achieve the stated accuracy and quality.

• Operate machines and carry out activities in a safe and responsible manner, maintaining a clean and tidy environment.

• Achieve tasks within set timeframes to meet departmental targets.

• Ensure all tooling-related activities are carried out in accordance with appropriate company procedures and Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Good general education with numeracy and perception essential.

• Ability to work to very fine tolerances and read engineering drawings.

• High degree of concentration required to operate machinery and tools safely.

• Initiative in problem-solving and providing solutions to tool manufacturing problems.
