Job Description

Highland Council invites applications from qualified Teachers to fill the position of Home Economics Faculty Member at Charleston Academy, Inverness. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, developing curriculum plans, and assessing student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Delivery: Teach engaging Home Economics lessons to Secondary students, catering to their diverse needs and abilities.
  • Curriculum Development: Create and implement curriculum plans that align with national standards and promote student achievement.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to their academic growth.

Requirements:

  • Teaching Qualifications: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Secondary Home Economics.
  • Teaching Experience: Proven experience in teaching Secondary school settings, with a focus on Home Economics.
  • Subject Expertise and Teaching Skills: Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and effective teaching skills, ensuring high-quality lesson delivery.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, facilitating collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
