Electronics Design Specialist Role


We are seeking a skilled Electronics Design Specialist to join our dynamic technical team. As an Electronics Design Specialist, you will play a key role in developing specifications and test documents for electronic and electromechanical products.



About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a broad-based electronic engineering honours degree from a well-established university with a strong electronics reputation (or equivalent qualification). You should also have at least three years' experience working as a hardware design engineer.



Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop architectural designs, including hardware/software partitioning, and manage the generation of PCB designs.
  2. Design feasibility studies and investigations, identifying and evaluating new technologies.
  3. Collaborate closely with designers, mechanical engineers, software developers, and others to integrate both the visual and functional aspects of products.
  4. Provide technical design guidance to engineers from other disciplines in electromechanical projects, and other engineers within the electronics team.


Requirements

  • A first or upper second class broad-based electronic engineering honours degree from a well-established university with a strong electronics reputation (or equivalent qualification).
  • At least three years' experience working as a hardware design engineer.
  • Strong proven ability in electronic design with a broad range of analogue and digital electronics design experience.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work on your own initiative.


Benefits

  • Competitive salary of £45,000 - £70,000 DOE.
