Job Title: Dental Care Specialist: Dentist Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Dentist to join our team at Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise CIC. As a Dental Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality NHS dental services in a multidisciplinary and innovative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Clinical Services: Provide clinically appropriate, high-quality NHS dental treatment to patients, following all relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain Clinical Governance: Maintain PDSE standards of clinical governance, including infection control, patient confidentiality, clinical record keeping, etc.
  • Regular Audits: Regularly carry out audits of clinical treatment.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure health and safety procedures are observed at all times.
  • Team Support: Support the work of the whole dental team employed by PDSE.
Measures of Success:
  • Successful Outcomes: Successful outcomes to items listed in key accountabilities and other delegated tasks.
  • Positive Feedback: Positive customer feedback (staff, patients, and students).
  • Deadlines: Meets deadlines.
  • Competing Demands: Manages competing demands.
Requirements:
  • Education: A Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree.
  • Registration: GDC registration.
  • Performers Number: Performers number.
  • DFT Supervisor: DFT supervisor (desirable).
  • Broad Dental Knowledge: Broad dental knowledge, with up-to-date knowledge of aspects of general practice within your scope of practice.
Experience:
  • Clinical Experience: Demonstrable clinical experience in an NHS practice.
  • Active Practice: Active in clinical dental practice.
  • Broad Experience: Broad experience in a wide range of treatments.
  • Education Experience: Education experience (desirable).
Skills:
  • Clinical Skills: First-class clinical skills.
  • Team Player: Team player who plans ahead and is well organised.
  • Communication: Excellent communication.
  • Direction and Guidance: Ability to provide concise explanations and clear direction and guidance.
