Exciting Opportunity for a Dedicated EYFS Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Support Professional to join our team at GSL Education. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children's early development and learning.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced teachers to deliver engaging and interactive lessons tailored to the EYFS curriculum. You will provide one-on-one support to children who require additional help, ensuring that all students have access to the learning material. Additionally, you will maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment, encouraging good behaviour and social interaction among children.

Essential Qualities and Skills:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons tailored to the EYFS curriculum, helping children develop essential skills.
  • Provide individualized support to children who require additional help, ensuring equal access to learning materials.
  • Maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment, promoting good behaviour and social interaction among children.
  • Assist in preparing educational materials and resources to enhance learning experiences.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to support each child's development.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, adhering to school policies and safeguarding procedures.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in an EYFS setting and familiarity with the Early Years curriculum are desirable.
  • A patient and encouraging approach is essential to help children build confidence in their early learning journey.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage young children effectively.
  • Profound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and child development principles will be beneficial.
  • Strong organisational skills to prepare and manage educational materials and activities.
  • A commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students, with a thorough understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
