We are seeking dedicated individuals to become Independent Visitors, providing a consistent and supportive presence in the lives of children and young people within Local Authority care.

About the Role

As an Independent Visitor, you will be matched with a child or young person and build a meaningful relationship through regular, one-to-one activities. This long-term commitment requires a minimum of 6 hours per month, and you will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure your success.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a positive, trusting relationship with your assigned child or young person
• Engage in regular, one-to-one activities that promote social, emotional, and educational development
• Provide a stable and supportive presence in the child's life, offering guidance and encouragement when needed
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure the child's needs are met

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be:

Able to commit to a minimum of 6 hours per month for a long-term periodWilling to undergo comprehensive training and ongoing supportAble to maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policiesCommitted to promoting the well-being and best interests of the child
