Job Summary

The Deputy Head of Clinical Governance will play a key role in supporting the Trust in achieving its strategic goals. This includes working closely with the Head of Clinical Governance and other senior management team members to develop and implement clinical quality improvement programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the production of the Annual Quality Account and programme of associated Quality Priorities.
  2. Set up and monitor the CQUIN or equivalent programme, providing regular reports to relevant Trust committees.
  3. Line manage a designated part of the Clinical Governance Team under the guidance of the Head of Clinical Governance.
  4. Organise the administration and support the Chair of the Technologies Appraisal Group (TAG), which meets monthly and has a fast-moving agenda linked to patient care.

This post will support processes to improve the platform for clinical quality improvement, patient safety, and patient experience by enhancing clinical effectiveness, clinical incident management, and learning from incidents and mortality reviews, ultimately reducing risks to patients, staff, and the organisation.
