Housing Services Officer

Job Summary
Oxford City Council is seeking a skilled surveyor to join its Property Services team as an Area Property Officer.
This role involves taking the lead on repairs, compliance, planned maintenance, and capital works within a defined geographical area of the city.
You will be responsible for taking ownership of property-related issues and queries in your area, working closely with teams across the organisation to find solutions and ensure effective communication.
You will commission works and monitor the output of contractors, including the council's appointed contractors and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Oxford Direct Services.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing varied workstreams and commissioning contractors, with a strong understanding of current property legislation.
