Experienced Operations QA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) professional to join our team as an Operations QA Engineer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve site goals.
About UsAbbott Diabetes Care is a leading manufacturer of glucose monitoring systems for both home and hospital settings. We have a Global Centre of Excellence for Medical Devices based in Witney, Oxfordshire, where we design, develop, and manufacture innovative products such as the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and document quality issues, communicating and escalating as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Deliver quality training and presentations to site personnel, promoting a culture of excellence and compliance.
- Support the monitoring and compliance of our Quality Management System, ensuring all areas meet regulatory requirements.
- Plan, conduct, and review inspections, communicating findings and implementing corrective actions to maintain high product quality.
- Collaborate with Operations to make informed decisions on product quality, ensuring compliant manufacturing processes.
- Promote a "right first time" approach to quality records, maintaining accountability for functional responsibilities.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in a quality-related role in a regulated environment (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare manufacturing).
- A proactive approach to work, with excellent communication skills and sound judgment.
- The ability to take decisive action to resolve quality issues and provide practical solutions.
