Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of General Manager Acute Floor within the Medicine Division at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. This dynamic position will involve leading and overseeing Acute Floor services, including the £48m refurbishment at Royal Sussex County Hospital.
Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of two Emergency Departments and two Acute Medicine services within the Acute Floor. They will need to effectively engage and collaborate with other Trust General Managers to manage unscheduled demand across both hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Divisional and Trust service strategies and objectives
- Drive performance standards, service improvements, and efficiencies
- Enhance patient care and improve patient pathways within the Acute Floor
