We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive digital transformation in our FCAS Digital Engineering team.

About the Role:

This is a key leadership position that will focus on developing and implementing innovative engineering processes, technologies, and cultures to support the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) objectives. The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary team to design and deliver solutions required by the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and Deliver: Develop and implement cutting-edge engineering processes, technologies, and methods to enhance product development and reduce costs.
  • Lead Change: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, build coalitions, and create urgency to drive business change.
  • Build and Lead Teams: Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve programme objectives.
  • Liaise with Partners: Collaborate with international and UK partners to discuss, agree, and deploy solutions across the GCAP enterprise.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Expertise: Proven experience in an Engineering Discipline role, with relevant qualifications such as a BEng or higher.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience in leading small teams and driving business change.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders.

Benefits:

You'll receive a competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on your skills and experience.
