Job Title: Multi-Skilled Service Engineer

Location: This role will involve travel across the UK and may require time spent on-site at Keighly.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours a week

Job Tenure: Permanent

Metalis Engineering Recruitment Limited is working with a specialist engineering company that designs and manufactures machinery and production equipment for various industries. Due to continuous growth, our client is seeking multiple Multi-Skilled Service Engineers to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Install, service, and repair electro-mechanical high-value production equipment/machinery at customer sites, adhering to drawings, manufacturer's instructions, and customer specifications.
  2. Utilize knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical machinery to work on equipment/machinery refurbishments, re-tools, and refits where necessary.
  3. Operate equipment/machinery through installation and commissioning to ensure performance, quality, and rate of running meet specifications.
  4. Train customer personnel on maintaining, adjusting, and repairing equipment/machinery.
  5. Document all inspections, maintenance, and repair work, plus fault finding and diagnostics.
  6. Deliver exceptional customer service and identify other value-added opportunities.
Requirements:
  1. Hold a relevant technical or engineering qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering or an alternative required discipline, or possess relevant experience.
  2. A relevant technical or engineering qualification in mechanical engineering is required, or relevant experience.
  3. Have knowledge of multi-axis machine tools and production machinery.
  4. Be experienced in PLC and CNC controls (Siemens, Fanuc, etc.).
  5. Understand Field Bus Profinet, Profibus.
  6. Hold a full driving licence and be a car driver.
  7. Exhibit good customer service skills with expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving complex machining/grinding related problems.
  8. Able to work effectively under pressure either alone or as part of a team.
