We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to provide high-quality, responsive services for children aged 0-19 with Speech, Language and Communication needs. As a Child Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in improving the health and wellbeing of our patients, children and communities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients and work directly and indirectly to deliver Speech and Language Therapy and/or Dysphagia treatment programmes
  • Fulfil a specialism within the team and be at the forefront of latest developments and evidence-based practice and advise other team members
  • Carry out assessments as appropriate and make differential diagnoses

Requirements:

  • Speech and Language Therapy graduate (accredited course) with membership of HCPC
  • Post-graduate Dysphagia qualification – inc. paediatrics
  • Relevant experience at post-graduate level of working in school and pre-school settings (mainstream and special schools) and local authority Children Centres
  • Relevant experience of working with children with a range of SLCN

The estimated salary for this role is £19.10 per hour, based on a 22.5 hour per week contract.

This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
