The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our client's growing development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and experience with designing and developing innovative data analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance, high-throughput data pipelines for trading exchange, FX, and fundamental data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
- Develop and maintain ETL data pipelines using Python and related technologies.
- Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong Python development experience, with a focus on data engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in building ETL data pipelines.
- Relational database experience with PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of tech within our stack: AWS, Apache Beam, Kafka.
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming.
- A desire to work in the commodities/trading sector.
