Key Responsibilities
  1. Cloud Native Technologies: Strong experience with container technologies, preferably VMware Tanzu (previously Pivotal Cloud Foundry) or Kubernetes-based container technologies like OpenShift and AWS EKS.
  2. Enterprise Java Development: Prior development background building enterprise-scale Java Spring/Spring Boot Spring Cloud services on multiple end-to-end projects.
  3. Legacy Application Modernization: Prior experience in modernizing legacy applications, migrating monolithic code to microservices architectures, performance tuning, and application monitoring, conducting cost-benefit risk analysis.
  4. NoSQL and Relational Databases: Working experience using NoSQL technologies like DynamoDB and relational databases like Oracle Postgres.
  5. API Design and Security: Knowledge of design standards, especially Swagger and OpenAPI 3.0 REST API design best practices for microservices, like versioning, resource naming, etc. Knowledge and hands-on experience with API security standards and implementation (LDAP, OAuth 2.0/JWT, OpenID SAML, Client ID/Secret, 2-way SSL).
  6. CI/CD Tools and Methodologies: Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools, frameworks, and methodologies, namely Jenkins, Maven, Jira, ServiceNow, GitHub, Cucumber, Gatling, or other LSTs, SonarQube, Veracode, JUnit, Blue/Green, etc.
  7. Domain-Driven Design and BDD/TDD: Implementation experience in Domain-Driven Design, BDD/TDD.
  8. Agile Methodologies and Cross-Functional Teams: Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Startup, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts).
  9. Event-Driven Platforms and Messaging Technologies: Experience with Event-driven platforms like Apache Kafka, Confluent Kafka, and messaging technologies like IBM MQ, AWS SQS, etc.
Healthcare Work Experience (Preferred)
  1. EDI Transactions and Data Formats: Understanding EDI transactions (X12 data formats), secure file transfers, Edifecs.
  2. Healthcare Regulations and Interoperability: Understanding of health payer regulations, such as HIPAA, interoperability exchange formats like HL7 and FHIR.
  3. Healthcare Domain Expertise: Experience in the healthcare industry and domain expertise in one or more of claims, Enrollment, Eligibility, Referrals, and Authorizations is a plus.
Leadership and Soft Skills
