About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Cover Teacher to join our team at Vision for Education - Teesside Secondary. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher, facilitating learning, managing classroom behavior, and providing a handover to the absent teacher.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher
  • Facilitate learning and manage classroom behavior
  • Record accurate registers and provide a handover to the absent teacher
  • Work across the full range of secondary school subjects
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or equivalent education
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills
  • A natural leadership ability and confidence to lead a lesson
  • A passion for education and providing support to young people
