Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Film Operations Director to join our team at Box. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our cinema, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a team of movie enthusiasts to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure excellent communication between staff and guests.
  2. Operational Management: Supervise all aspects of cinema operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, facilities maintenance, and adherence to established protocols.
  3. Employee Retention: Foster a positive work environment by implementing effective communication strategies, conducting regular team meetings, and providing ongoing training and development opportunities.
  4. Market Share: Monitor and drive market share through data analysis and competitor research, identifying opportunities to enhance our offerings and stay ahead of industry trends.
  5. Inventory Control: Adhere to stock control protocols and conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accurate records and prevent losses.
  6. Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation throughout the cinema, adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
Person Specifications
  1. General Management Experience: Proven track record in a general management role within the cinema industry.
  2. Projection and Scheduling Knowledge: Solid understanding of film scheduling and projection systems.
  3. P&L Management: Experience managing a full Profit and Loss statement, with knowledge of financial planning and budgeting.
  4. Certifications: Current certifications in Fire Marshall, First Aid, and Personal License, as well as knowledge of Food Safety, Health & Safety, and licensing laws.
  5. Leadership Skills: Outgoing individual with strong leadership skills, a friendly and professional approach, and excellent communication abilities.
  6. Health & Safety Expertise: Strong analytical thinking and business awareness, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and generous holiday entitlement.
