Job Summary:

iRecruit4 is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our client's team in a dynamic and collaborative work environment. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, measuring, cutting, and shaping sheet metal to precise dimensions using hand tools, power tools, and machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal to precise dimensions using a variety of tools and machinery.
  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components and products according to design specifications.
  • Install fabricated products such as ductwork, roofing, siding, and ventilation systems.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct repairs or modifications to sheet metal products as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and contractors to coordinate project tasks effectively.
  • Keep accurate records of materials used, hours worked, and tasks completed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and technologies related to sheet metal work.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of various metals and their properties.
  • Ability to accurately measure, cut, and shape sheet metal.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal machinery.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Basic math skills for calculations and measurements.
  • Certification or training in sheet metal fabrication preferred.
