Technical Lead Opportunity

Cv Library is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with expertise in Simulink to lead the development of the Active Vehicle Control System (AVCS) for the Dreadnought submarine programme. As a technical lead, you will play a crucial role in driving the project forward, utilizing your expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to deliver complex systems engineering projects.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth and development, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results while working closely with stakeholders. The work is based in Bristol, Warton or Brough, with a flexible 3-4 days per week onsite arrangement.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop the functional design and development of Human Machine Interface & Situational Awareness systems (HMI&SA).
  2. System Health and Data Management systems.

You will work closely with stakeholders to capture system control requirements, produce control model concepts, detailed design models, and test harnesses. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality results while ensuring the safety and security of the system.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle with ability to apply good systems engineering practices.
  • Knowledge in Display & Controls, Systems Health and Data management related Systems Engineering, preferably in a marine or aerospace application.
  • Competence in Mathworks tools to apply Model-based systems engineering principles, tools, and techniques (primarily Simulink and its Test).
  • Capable in Microsoft Office packages and an ability to develop competence with more specialist toolsets as necessary.

Please note that due to the sensitive nature of the projects involved, all candidates must be capable of gaining a UK MOD Security Clearance to SC level. This role shall operate inside IR35.

Estimated Salary: Based on the job description and location, we estimate the salary for this position to be between £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
